Meet Ana Maria Alvarez Pagola, from Spain. She’s been living with type 1 diabetes since 2006 and is a member of the IDF Blue Circle Voices network.
“I believe education and access are key to living and thriving with diabetes. These two aspects are at the core of what we should all be advocating for, both for ourselves and for our peers. I’m originally from Argentina and now live in Spain and have strong bonds with both countries, both within the diabetes community and with healthcare professionals at all levels. I believe the voice of people with diabetes needs to be heard and heeded. We need to be part of the change for a better future for all, regardless of the country you are born in or where you choose to live.”
