The International Diabetes Federation (IDF) is an alliance of over 250 national diabetes associations with two million members in more than 160 countries and territories, IDF has been at the vanguard of global diabetes advocacy for over 75 years.
We are seeking a structured, results-driven, and enthusiastic Partnership Manager to join our team and strengthen IDF’s network of corporate partners.
This is a full-time, remote position (consultancy contract if based outside Belgium), on a fixed-term contract from (mid-) January 2026 until end September 2026 (potential extension).
Purpose of role
The Partnership Manager will manage and expand IDF’s corporate partnerships, overseeing existing programmes and identifying new opportunities to grow our global network.
Key responsibilities and activities
- Manage and grow relationships with existing IDF partners:
- Draft, review and negotiate partnership agreement/grants, annual work plans and budgets.
- Monitor planned activities and prepare progress/financial reports.
- Identify opportunities to expand funding and cross-sell projects.
- Organise partnership meetings, online and in-person.
- Serve as main contact for partners.
- Identify and secure new partnerships, sponsorships, grants, and donations:
- Research potential partners within and outside the healthcare sphere.
- Build relationships and follow-up on opportunities.
- Prepare presentations and communicate new initiatives to partners.
- Monitor industry trends and provide updates to management.
- Work closely with internal teams to ensure that IDF and partners needs are met.
- Foster external relationships with aligned organisations and foundations.
Skills/Competencies/Experience
- Knowledge level of a Bachelor/Master’s degree in health administration or related field
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
- Fluent in English (spoken and written) – (other languages are an asset).
- Ability to work independently and thrive in a multicultural, international, and virtual environment.
- Experience working with the pharmaceutical industry and/or fundraising is an asset.
- Strong project management, teamwork, and diplomatic skills.
- Critical thinking and ability to summarise complex information.
- Proactive, results-oriented, and action-driven.
- Alignment with IDF’s values, ethics, and mission.
