A joint satellite symposium between the International Diabetes Federation and the World Diabetes Foundation which took place on 8 April during the IDF World Diabetes Congress 2025 in Bangkok.
This event shared good practices using country examples of civil society involvement in implementing national diabetes/NCD programmes. The discussion looked at the translation of the Global Diabetes Compact into national workstreams and outline key priorities for the global diabetes community in the run-up to the UN High-Level Meeting on NCDs.
The symposium was moderated by Dr Jackie Maalouf (Vice President, IDF and President, DiaLeb) and Mr Bent Lautrup-Nielsen (Head of Global Advocacy, WDF).
