On 19-27 May, the World Health Organization (WHO) held its 78th World Health Assembly (WHA) in Geneva. The World Health Assembly is the WHO decision-making body that determines WHO policies.
IDF was present and co-hosted a side event – Digital health transformation in the global NCD response: A call for unified approaches and scaled investment – with the World Diabetes Foundation. IDF President Prof Peter Schwarz and IDF Vice-President Dr Jackie Maalouf also participated as speakers in other side events that addressed key issues related to the care, management and prevention of diabetes and NCDs.
